ebm-papst showcases high-efficiency EC motors and fans for greener buildings at ARBS 2026

ebm-papst displayed a new generation of energy-efficient air movement technology at the ARBS 2026 exhibition in Australia. The company highlighted its DV 280 EC motor, a 24-kilowatt unit designed for cooling towers and large air handling systems. Also on show were the Radipac 3C and 3M fan systems for packaged air conditioning and commercial buildings operating at pressures up to 3000 Pascals. The products include vibration sensors and predictive monitoring to let facility managers spot maintenance needs before failures occur. The company's managing director Simon Bradwell noted a growing focus on larger systems for modern buildings and critical infrastructure. ebm-papst is also involved in retrofit projects where old belt-driven fans are replaced with electronically controlled alternatives, often reusing existing boxes and cooling coils. The company operates carbon neutral in Australia and manufactures locally in Laverton North, Victoria, where about one-third of revenue comes from locally made or modified products. Bradwell said engineers and industry will drive the creativity needed to solve the carbon equation.
