E.ON awards Capsol carbon capture feasibility study at Norrkoping biomass facility
bioenergy-news.comE.ON has awarded Capsol Technologies a feasibility study to evaluate carbon capture at its biomass and waste-to-energy plant in Norrkoping, Sweden. The study will assess deploying Capsol's technology to capture up to 500,000 tonnes of CO2 per year, part of E.ON's broader evaluation of carbon capture at the site. The study was won through a competitive tender and will involve a strategic engineering partner drawing on experience from similar projects. Capsol CEO Wendy Lam noted the growing market for carbon capture at biomass and waste-to-energy facilities, where the technology can potentially capture CO2 at lower cost.
