DuPont Debuts ISCC PLUS Certified Tyvek With Renewable Attribution for Lower Carbon Packaging
simplywall.stDuPont has introduced Tyvek with Renewable Attribution, a version of its packaging material made with ISCC PLUS certified bio-circular feedstocks from non-food, second-generation biomass. The product targets packaging and industrial customers who want to lower the carbon footprint of their supply chains without changing how their lines run. Buyers can choose attribution levels from 30% to 100%. The drop-in format is the main practical point. Because customers do not need to retool, the switch cost is mostly about any price premium for the certified feedstock. ISCC PLUS provides traceability for the biomass input, but it does not by itself quantify the emissions reduction per tonne. The carbon impact also depends on the energy used in production. DuPont says the move supports its 2035 sustainability goals. The next thing to watch is quarterly disclosure on renewable attribution mix and customer uptake in consumer and industrial applications. That will show whether this is a marketing option or a real shift in how much Tyvek uses bio-attributed feedstocks.
