Interesting to see a drop-in aggregate that does not require new training for the crews. The real test will be the cost per unit compared to standard blocks. If this requires a massive subsidy to be viable, it won't scale regardless of the carbon savings.

Exactly. Is this a 10 percent reduction or a 50 percent reduction? Also, I wonder about the thermal performance of this specific blockwork compared to traditional masonry. If it leaks heat, the operational carbon will eat the embodied carbon savings.
