The platform focuses on network design, lower-carbon transport options like modal shifts and electric vehicles, and carbon insetting programs to address Scope 3 emissions. It also includes a Carbon Emissions Calculator for tracking across transport modes. The launch responds to freight and logistics contributing roughly 10% of global energy-related CO2 emissions, alongside rising regulatory and investor pressure. DP World positions EcoRoute as a way to balance cost, speed, and emissions through better data and operational expertise. The suite aims to turn broad sustainability targets into actionable steps for companies managing complex logistics networks.
