DP World is deploying a new fleet of electric internal terminal vehicles and reach stackers at the Port of Santos in Brazil. This move is part of a larger investment to modernize the terminal and reach net zero emissions by 2050, replacing diesel equipment to cut over 500 tonnes of CO2 annually. The company has also invested over 100 million Brazilian Reais to convert 22 rubber tired gantry cranes to electric power. These upgrades are paired with a commitment to using nearly 100 percent renewable energy certified by I-REC to power port operations.
