Dow Path2Zero: Building a Net-Zero Ethylene Cracker in Alberta
energy-pedia.comDow is advancing its Path2Zero project in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, aiming to create the first net-zero emissions integrated ethylene cracker. The project includes a new cogeneration facility with integrated post-combustion carbon capture to eliminate Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. Worley has been contracted for the front-end engineering design (FEED) of the cogeneration component. The facility is expected to be operational by late 2030, producing 3.2 million metric tonnes of low-carbon polyethylene and derivatives annually.
