Dow has selected Worley to handle the front-end engineering design for the cogeneration and carbon capture components of its Path2Zero project in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. The initiative aims to create the first integrated ethylene cracker site with net-zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. The facility is expected to be operational by late 2030 and will produce 3.2 million metric tonnes of low-carbon polyethylene annually. This project represents a significant effort to decarbonize 20 percent of Dow's global ethylene capacity through integrated post-combustion carbon capture.
