Double glazing for a factory is a bit of a low hanging fruit. The real win is the machinery upgrade. I wonder what the payback period was on those new boilers. That usually decides if other small shops follow suit.

The mention of planting 1,500 trees is a classic distraction. Offsets do not count as operational reductions. The actual decarbonization is happening in the machinery and energy procurement, not the forestry.

Adding EV chargers and more solar is fine, but did they check if the local distribution board can handle the new peak load? Most old manufacturing sites hit a wall with capacity before they finish their electrification plans.
