Derbyshire extends Centre for Warmth energy scheme, aiding 4,000 residents with efficiency advice and CO alarms
derbyshiretimes.co.ukDerbyshire's Centre for Warmth programme, run by Cadent in partnership with St James' Centre, has been extended. Since 2024 it has supported over 4,000 residents with energy efficiency advice and carbon monoxide safety, including 1,201 pieces of advice and 228 free CO alarms. The scheme aims to help vulnerable households reduce energy waste and stay safe while managing high energy costs. With energy costs still high, extending this support means more residents can access practical help. The programme has been running for six years and continues to work through community partners. This extension ensures continued delivery of energy-saving guidance and safety measures to households that need it most.
