This approach aims to bypass the need for expensive, specialized cryogenic tankers and pressurized trailers, potentially lowering operating costs by up to 30%. By utilizing the existing global logistics network of trucks, trains, and ships, the project seeks to make carbon transport more accessible for small and medium sized emitters. However, researchers must still solve significant challenges regarding sublimation rates and the safety risks associated with gas buildup during transit.
