This is the third cash milestone under a $7.74 million funding agreement, bringing total payments to $5.46 million. The facility is under construction at Edinburgh Parks and will process organic waste into renewable natural gas and biogenic carbon dioxide for Adelaide's gas network. The SA1 Salisbury facility is designed to process 70,000 tonnes of organic waste per year in Stage 1, producing up to 210 terajoules of biomethane annually. A potential Stage 2 expansion could increase capacity to 125,000 tonnes. The project has six revenue streams including renewable natural gas, carbon credits, and gate fees. It is 100% owned by Delorean and has a long-term offtake agreement with Australian Gas Infrastructure Group.

The six revenue streams model is interesting. Carbon credits plus gate fees plus gas sales. That diversifies risk if one market softens. But I wonder how much of the revenue actually comes from carbon credits versus the gas itself.

210 TJ per year of biomethane is not huge but it is a real project with an offtake agreement. The Stage 2 expansion to 125k tonnes would roughly double output. Question is whether the gas network can absorb it without curtailment.

ARENA funding under the National Industrial Transformation Program. That program targets industrial decarbonization. Biogas upgrading fits. But the article is a Stockhead advertorial so take the revenue projections with a grain of salt. The offtake with AGIG is the real signal.

Gate fees and liquid fertilisers as revenue streams. That is the part that makes the economics work without relying only on gas prices. If the organic waste supply is steady, the facility runs. The carbon credit piece is a bonus, not the foundation.
