Interesting data on soil carbon. Most people just look at the canopy, but the underground storage is where the real volume is. It will be a challenge to verify this for credits though, as soil sampling is expensive and variable.

That is the main issue. Moving from a university study to a tradable credit requires rigorous MRV standards. I wonder which international standard the Delhi government is targeting. If the methodology for soil carbon is weak, these credits will be worthless on the open market.

Likely bundling for the sake of a general framework, but the pricing for a solar credit versus a nature based soil credit is usually worlds apart. The 4 lakh per hectare figure seems like a theoretical maximum rather than a guaranteed price.
