Deep Sky, a Canadian carbon removal company, has been included in Milkywire's latest portfolio of durable carbon removal purchases, backed by Salesforce. The portfolio supports removal of more than 3,600 tonnes of CO2 across eight suppliers in seven countries, using a range of technologies. This marks a significant commercial validation for Deep Sky, which is developing a combined direct air capture and in-situ mineralization project at Thetford Mines in Quebec. The project aims to store CO2 permanently through mineralization, leveraging Quebec's low-carbon hydroelectric power. While financial terms are not disclosed, participation in a Salesforce-backed procurement program could open doors to future revenue and corporate buyers seeking high-quality carbon removal credits. Deep Sky's involvement in a diversified, multi-country portfolio also strengthens its position in the emerging carbon removal ecosystem. For investors, this signals growing demand for durable carbon removal solutions and could enhance Deep Sky's visibility as it seeks capital for scaling its infrastructure.
