Deep Sky has secured a 10 year carbon removal credit agreement with TD Bank Group. The deal commits TD to purchase carbon removal credits from Deep Sky's direct air capture and storage projects over the next decade. This is one of the longer term offtake agreements in the Canadian carbon removal space and signals growing corporate demand for durable carbon credits. The agreement provides Deep Sky with revenue visibility to scale its DAC facilities. For TD, it is a way to offset residual emissions as part of its net zero commitment. The structure mirrors other recent corporate offtake deals in the carbon removal market where buyers lock in credits years before delivery. Long term contracts like this are critical for DAC developers to reach financial close on first of a kind plants. The key question is whether Deep Sky can deliver on time and at the contracted price given the technology is still scaling.
