Deep Sky and TD Bank sign 10-year carbon credit deal for direct air capture
investmentexecutive.comDeep Sky, a Montreal based carbon capture startup, has signed a 10 year agreement with TD Bank Group to sell over 18,000 verified direct air capture carbon dioxide removal credits. The deal follows Deep Sky's first facility launch in Alberta in August 2025 and its plans for a commercial carbon removal site in Manitoba. Financial terms were not disclosed. This partnership adds to Deep Sky's recent collaborations with French utility Engie and airline Lufthansa. For TD, the purchase supports its climate commitments by buying durable carbon removal credits rather than offsets. The deal signals growing corporate demand for direct air capture as a long term carbon removal solution.
