Deep Sky, a Montreal based carbon capture startup, has signed a 10 year agreement with TD Bank Group to sell over 18,000 verified direct air capture carbon dioxide removal credits. The deal follows Deep Sky's first facility opening in Alberta in August 2025 and plans for a commercial carbon removal facility in southwestern Manitoba. Financial terms were not disclosed. This partnership adds to Deep Sky's recent deals with French utility Engie and airline Lufthansa. The long term commitment from a major Canadian bank signals growing corporate demand for engineered carbon removal credits, though the scale remains small relative to global emissions.
