Deep Sky and energy company ENGIE have entered a strategic partnership to advance direct air capture (DAC) technology. As part of the agreement, ENGIE will purchase up to 15,000 carbon removal credits and collaborate on research to improve the efficiency of commercial scale DAC deployments. The partnership focuses on integrating DAC systems with dynamic energy loads to reduce operational costs. This research will support Deep Sky's broader efforts, including the Deep Sky Alpha testing site in Alberta and a planned 500,000 tonne annual capacity facility in Manitoba.
