Montréal based Deep Sky has partnered with French energy giant ENGIE to scale direct air capture technology. As part of the agreement, ENGIE will purchase up to 15,000 carbon removal credits generated from Deep Sky facilities, including the Deep Sky Alpha site in Alberta. The two companies will collaborate on research and development to move DAC from innovation to industrial scale. This partnership focuses on creating a viable commercial market for carbon removal to help meet net zero targets by 2045.
