Deep Green and Zendo Use AI Data Center Waste Heat for Community Heating
bioenergy-news.comDeep Green and Zendo Energy have partnered to redirect waste heat from a high-density AI data center in Greater Manchester to the Trafford Leisure Centre. By capturing thermal output from servers, the project reduces carbon emissions and saves the community approximately £80,000 in annual energy costs. This modular approach allows data centers to be deployed quickly near heat-absorbing buildings like swimming pools and district heating networks. The system uses Zendo's Energy OS to manage the variable thermal loads created by AI workloads while sourcing renewable electricity from ENGIE.
