Students from the University of Bath are using 3D laser scanning and modeling to create a low-carbon roadmap for St Stephen's Church. The project focuses on improving insulation, lighting, and heating while exploring the integration of renewable energy technologies in a Grade II* listed building. This collaboration aims to balance heritage preservation with the Church of England's goal of reaching net zero by 2030. The initiative serves as a blueprint for other historic community spaces facing high energy costs and poor thermal efficiency.
