De Beers Group released its latest sustainability report, showing a 14% reduction in operational and energy-related carbon emissions since 2021, on track for a one-third cut by 2030. The report also highlights progress in diamond traceability, with its Tracr blockchain platform now registering over five million rough diamonds, and a partnership with Sarine to add scanning data for more complete provenance tracking. Beyond carbon, the report notes record safety performance and expanded conservation efforts, including 375,000 acres under management across southern Africa and the birth of the 70th rhino calf in its Botswana programs. De Beers also reports supporting 2.6 offsite jobs for every onsite job and has committed $70 million to a development fund in Botswana. Future priorities include more renewable energy capacity, electrified mining equipment, and wider Tracr adoption.
