Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) has launched a 150 kW solar rooftop installation at its head office in Visakhapatnam. The project is part of the PM Surya Ghar Yojana and aims to lower operational costs and carbon output. The plant is projected to generate approximately 2.7 lakh units of clean energy annually. This transition to solar is expected to save the corporation 30 lakh rupees per year and prevent up to 240 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
