DCIL Installs 150-kW Solar Rooftop Plant in Visakhapatnam
thehansindia.comDredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) has commissioned a 150-kW solar rooftop plant at its head office in Visakhapatnam. The project, implemented under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, is expected to generate 2.7 lakh units of clean energy annually. The installation aims to reduce the company's carbon footprint by avoiding 220 to 240 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. DCIL expects the shift to solar to save approximately 30 lakh rupees in annual power costs.
