The event highlighted the BioE3 Policy, which aims to scale high-performance biomanufacturing for sustainable fuels, chemicals, and biomaterials. Speakers from DBT, research institutes, and industry discussed projects like algae-based carbon conversion, sustainable aviation fuel from biorenewables, and mangrove restoration using indigenous bacteria. The webinar also covered the role of Biofoundries and Biomanufacturing Hubs in moving lab innovations to industrial deployment. Experts emphasized community-led conservation and the need for integrated approaches to biodiversity and climate adaptation. Over 100 institutions participated, with Q&A sessions exploring scaling challenges for climate-focused biotech in India.
