A joint study by Senken and Sylvera reveals that none of the DAX40 companies provided project-level identifiers in their FY2025 carbon credit disclosures under CSRD. Of the 4.84 million credits reported, nearly 45% remain untraceable through public registries. Furthermore, the analysis found that 57% of the identified projects failed to meet Sylvera's quality threshold for credible climate impact. The report suggests that current ESRS E1-7 standards are insufficient for independent verification of carbon offset quality.
