Daikin supplies heat pumps to 2.3 million Green Technology Centre for low carbon training
installeronline.co.ukDaikin UK has supplied air source heat pump technology to the new Advanced Green Technology Centre at Stoke-on-Trent College. The 2.3 million centre, opened in May 2026 with government funding, includes heat pump systems, solar PV, EV charging bays, and insulation training facilities. It aims to equip learners with skills for the low carbon built environment. This is the 46th installation under the Daikin and Quantum Group partnership, which places operational heat pump systems into further education colleges across the UK. The goal is to address the green skills gap and prepare installers for the estimated 29 million homes needing low carbon heating upgrades by 2050. Students get hands on experience with live equipment for installation, maintenance, and fault finding.
