Daffodil International University has opened a smart biogas plant at its Daffodil Smart City campus in Birulia, Savar. The facility converts organic waste into clean energy, aiming to reduce the university's reliance on fossil fuels and improve campus waste management. The plant is equipped with embedded sensors and automated monitoring to optimize biogas production. It is expected to generate between 20 and 30 kilowatt-hours of electricity daily, serving as both a power source and a research laboratory for students.
