Belgium-based climate tech company D-CRBN has secured $20.3 million in Series A funding to scale its plasma reactor technology. The system uses renewable electricity to convert CO2-rich off-gases from industrial sources into syngas and carbon monoxide, which serve as feedstocks for clean fuels and chemicals. This funding, led by Astaia with support from the European Innovation Council, aims to move the technology from industrial pilot stages to full commercial deployment. The company is targeting the steel and chemicals sectors to reduce reliance on fossil-based feedstocks in European industry.
