Belgian startup D-CRBN has secured €17.5 million in Series A funding to scale its electrified plasma technology. The system converts industrial CO2 emissions and hydrocarbons into carbon monoxide and syngas, providing essential building blocks for sustainable fuels and chemicals. The company is transitioning from pilot validation to industrial scale-up, targeting heavy emitters in the steel and chemical sectors. By replacing fossil feedstocks with recycled carbon, D-CRBN aims to reduce industrial dependence on carbon-intensive raw materials.
