Belgian startup D-CRBN has secured €17.5 million in Series A funding to scale its electrified plasma technology. The system converts industrial CO2 and hydrocarbons into carbon monoxide and syngas, providing sustainable building blocks for chemicals and fuels without creating carbon black byproducts. Led by Astaia with support from the EIC Fund and SFPIM, the funding aims to move the company from pilot validation to industrial scale-up. D-CRBN is currently working with partners in the steel and chemical sectors to deploy these carbon recycling solutions at scale.
