Cruden starts 90-home Renfrewshire development in Neilston with heat pumps, EV charging, and sustainable drainage
geomechanics.ioCruden has started pre-construction work on a 90-home development off Kirkton Road in Neilston, Renfrewshire. The scheme includes 66 private homes and 24 affordable units, with timber kits expected on site early next year and first completions targeted for summer. Existing access points from Kirkton Road will be kept, and the approved landscape strategy adds tree planting, walking routes, and sustainable drainage integrated with surrounding green space. The homes are built around fully electric, low-carbon services, including air-source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging. For engineers and housing professionals, the project is a useful example of how mid-size developments can combine mixed tenure, offsite timber construction, and low-carbon building systems in a semi-rural Scottish setting. Cruden's wider pipeline of around 4,500 homes across the Central Belt gives this scheme added context.
