Carbon Recycling International has installed the world's largest e-methanol reactor at the Liaoyuan E-Methanol Project in Jilin Province, China. The reactor is the core of CRI's Emissions-to-Liquids technology, converting green hydrogen and captured biogenic CO2 into renewable methanol. The first phase will produce about 170,000 tonnes of renewable methanol annually for shipping, chemicals, and other sectors looking for low-carbon fuel options. Commissioning is expected later this year. This milestone builds on CRI's earlier commercial deployments in Anyang and Lianyungang. The Liaoyuan project, developed for Tianying Group, is on track to become the largest e-methanol facility globally. The reactor design is the third generation of CRI's technology, emphasizing operational flexibility. The project shows how carbon recycling and green hydrogen can scale for industrial decarbonization.
