The tech sounds promising, but I want to see the actual payback period for a municipality. Most city water plants have zero budget for fancy upgrades unless the energy savings are immediate and huge.
If this reduces the peak load of these plants, it helps the local grid. But do we know if the system requires a massive amount of new electrical infrastructure to run, or is it a passive reduction?
