Cosmetics manufacturer Cosmax has signed a direct power purchase agreement with Hanwha Solutions to source solar energy for its major production hubs in South Korea. This move will transition approximately 40% of the electricity used at its domestic plants to renewable sources starting in July. Beyond the PPA, the company is expanding rooftop solar installations at its Pyeongtaek plant and implementing a full product life cycle assessment system. These steps are part of a broader strategy to halve carbon emissions by 2035 and reach carbon neutrality by 2050.
