Cool Effect is expanding its superpollutant carbon portfolio by partnering with Mitti Labs to reduce methane emissions from rice cultivation. The initiative uses Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) techniques to cut methane by up to 50% and reduce water consumption by 40% in India. To ensure credit integrity, the project employs a digital measurement, reporting, and verification (dMRV) system. This technology combines ground level measurements with NASA supported remote sensing to monitor emissions on small farm plots in real time.
