Turning CO2 and glycerol into battery components sounds good on paper. I want to see the actual cost per ton of glycerol carbonate produced. If the energy required for the catalyst process is too high, the carbon math doesnt work.

That is the main issue with CCUS. Without a high enough carbon tax or a very lucrative end market for the chemical, these projects usually rely on subsidies rather than market demand.

Interesting approach to glycerol valorisation. Most biofuel plants just struggle to deal with the excess glycerol, so combining that with CO2 capture solves two waste problems at once.
