COMPETITIV 2026: How carbon, data, and AI reshape corporate competitiveness in Romania

Raiffeisen Bank Romania and New Economy Hub have launched the COMPETITIV 2026 executive program, targeting medium and large companies navigating rising pressures from carbon costs, data management, and AI adoption. The program helps firms prioritize strategic decisions around resource use, financing, and value chain changes that directly impact their competitiveness and access to capital. A pilot edition with 65 companies, representing about 9 billion euros in combined turnover, showed that while many firms already have sustainability and tech initiatives underway, the real challenge is coordination and execution. The 2026 edition runs from September 2026 to February 2027, with applications open until July 31 at competitiv.eu. Participants work in management teams to develop concrete implementation plans endorsed at the executive level.
