CMI Orchards has released its first annual impact report detailing a plan to sequester 2 million tonnes of CO2e by 2030. The company is focusing on regenerative agriculture and the use of natural materials to meet nitrogen needs in their orchards. A key part of their strategy involves The Soil Center, a partnership that upcycles waste into soil amendments. This initiative has already sequestered over 1 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent, which the company uses as carbon insets for its retail partners.
