CMA CGM has launched the Notre Dame, the largest LNG-powered container ship in the world. The vessel features a dual-fuel propulsion system designed to reduce carbon emissions by up to 20 percent as part of a broader goal to reach net-zero by 2050. The ship incorporates AI for route optimization and an aerodynamic windshield to lower energy consumption. This launch is the first of ten planned LNG vessels intended to decarbonize long-haul trade corridors between Asia and Europe.
