CMA CGM and DSV expand low-carbon shipping deal with ACT+ biofuels
shipmanagementinternational.comCMA CGM and DSV signed a deal that puts DSV on CMA CGM's ACT+ low-carbon shipping program. DSV plans to use second-generation UCOME biofuels to cut around 12,000 tonnes of CO2 over two years. CMA CGM says ACT+ can reduce emissions by 83% compared to conventional shipping fuel, though the exact fuel volume and vessel routes are not in the announcement. The agreement extends a long-running relationship between the carrier and the logistics group. DSV is using ACT+ to offer lower-carbon ocean freight to its customers while working toward net zero by 2050. CMA CGM is also building out its low-carbon fleet, with about 200 dual-fuel LNG and methanol vessels expected by 2031.
