CLP e and Great Eagle Group are implementing a Cooling-as-a-Service model at the Cordis hotel in Hong Kong. The project uses a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer model to install a high-efficiency water-cooled air conditioning system, aiming to cut electricity use by 40% and reduce annual carbon emissions by 600 tonnes. Beyond the initial hotel project, the two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding to scale these energy management solutions across Great Eagle's portfolio of malls and offices in Hong Kong and mainland China. The partnership includes developing a low-carbon building playbook to standardize retrofit and design processes for net-zero goals.
