Climeworks Solutions has partnered with TD Bank in a ten year agreement to provide a diversified portfolio of carbon removal credits. The deal includes a mix of established methods like biochar and enhanced rock weathering, as well as future credits from direct air capture facilities in North America. This partnership marks TD Bank's entry as a major Canadian financial institution supporting durable carbon removal. Climeworks will manage the portfolio, including due diligence and monitoring, while testing its direct air capture technology for cold-weather performance in Alberta, Canada.
