Climeworks has entered a 10 year portfolio agreement with TD Bank to deliver carbon removal credits across North America. The deal includes a mix of technologies such as biochar, enhanced rock weathering, and bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS). As part of the expansion, Climeworks will conduct cold weather testing in Canada to gather data for a planned large scale direct air capture (DAC) plant. This marks the first time a Canadian financial services firm has signed such an agreement with the Swiss company.
