The UK government has announced the first cohort of the Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA) in Malaysia, selecting 12 businesses focused on energy, waste, buildings, manufacturing, transport, and agriculture. The program aims to make these companies investment-ready and connect them with climate investors. It runs through November 2026 and includes workshops and advisory support from PwC Malaysia. This initiative supports Malaysia's national climate targets by building a pipeline of bankable low-carbon projects. The selected businesses have already passed a rigorous vetting process based on technical and commercial fundamentals. The CFA is part of a broader UK effort to channel private capital into emerging market climate solutions.
