Mike Berners-Lee is a solid name in carbon accounting. Good to see him pushing the National Emergency Briefing in local hubs, though it is more of an awareness play than a policy deep dive.
The mention of Futureproof Cumbria is the most interesting part here. Awareness is fine, but the actual work of cutting carbon in old homes and businesses is where the real friction is.
The push to get this on TV is a classic attempt to move expert briefings into the public consciousness. It is a necessary step before you can actually get the political will for stricter emissions policy.
