Clariant Catalysts Reduce 45 Million Tons of Customer CO2e Emissions
indianchemicalnews.comClariant has reported that its catalyst technologies helped industrial customers avoid 45 million tons of CO2 equivalent emissions in 2025. These reductions were primarily driven by the use of reforming catalysts for direct reduced iron production and nitrous oxide abatement in nitric acid plants. The company is also scaling green methanol production using renewable hydrogen and bio-feedstocks. By focusing on hard to abate sectors like steel and chemicals, these catalytic solutions aim to lower the carbon intensity of heavy industrial processes.
