Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and British International Investment (BII) have established North Star, a $300 million platform dedicated to renewable energy in India. The initiative focuses on scaling solar, wind, and energy storage projects to help bridge the country's significant funding gap for clean energy infrastructure. The platform aims to generate over 4 million MWh of clean energy annually and reduce carbon emissions by approximately 4 million tonnes each year. By providing essential capital and development capacity, North Star intends to attract further private investment into India's energy transition.
