Exactly. You can have all the impassioned speeches you want, but if the interconnection queues are five years long and the grid can't take new renewables, the carbon levels won't budge.

Hard to get excited about global warnings when we can't even get basic heat pump subsidies to work for the average homeowner. The disconnect between the top level and the ground level is massive.
