China's state-owned CNBM has begun mass producing T1200 carbon fiber, a material with tensile strength exceeding 8 gigapascals. This grade of carbon fiber is significantly stronger than structural steel while remaining lightweight, making it a critical material for advanced engineering. The production capacity has reached 100 tons annually. This material is expected to improve efficiency and performance in electric vehicles, aerospace components, and renewable energy infrastructure by reducing weight without sacrificing structural integrity.
